There are myriad of assistance that companies today are able to tap on. Here’s one more to share. The Market Readiness Assistance Grant or MRA supports companies looking to expand overseas. As companies grow, the likely expansion would be outward into other countries, other regions to grow your market. In today’s global economy, it is not only essential, but vital for companies to venture overseas and to tap the potential of the overseas market. So to aid this progression, IE Singapore who administers this scheme, is providing assistance to companies in this aspect. The grant covers setting up an overseas market, advertising and promoting overseas as well as helping to suit up partners overseas. Some examples of eligible costs include market research or feasibility studies, advisory on legal, tax and labour regualtions. The support covers 70% of eligible costs capped at SGD20,000 per fiscal year and applications must be made by 31 March 2018.
Companies need to have the following criterias, SMEs that have global HQs anchored in Singapore and an annual turnover of less than SGD100 million per year.
